Setting our House in Order
March 28, 2020 from 9 am to 4 pm
After people have learned the basic (first week) rules for the discernment of spirits and have had some experience applying these rules in their lives, Saint Ignatius of Loyola invites them to discover the even greater freedom God offers us through a deeper awareness and understanding of our interior motions.
If you are already familiar with Ignatius of Loyola’s basic (first week) Rules for Discernment, join us for this workshop in which we will learn to become even more attentive to God’s invitations in our lives so as to better “set our house in order” for the Lord. This workshop will focus on Ignatius’s rules for discernment of the second week and related rules (rules for eating, for the distribution of alms, etc.).
The workshop facilitator, Fr. Sylvester Tan, SJ, is the director of programs at the Villa Saint-Martin Jesuit Retreat House. He has organized study groups on the discernment of spirits in the United States and Canada.
This Explore Saturday on March 28, 2020 begins at 9 am and should finish around 4 pm. This is a bilingual (French and English) workshop. Lunch and workshop materials are included in the $40 fee. Financial assistance is available for those in need, especially for young adults under 29.
Familiarity with Ignatius’s basic (first week) rules for the discernment of spirits is a necessary per-requisite for this session. Please pre-register by March 20, if possible by calling (514) 684-2311 ext. 0 or writing to email@example.com.
